Päivi Lujala is Professor of Geography and Academy of Finland Research Fellow at the University of Oulu. Lujala has PhD in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, 2008). She has lead several multidisciplinary projects on the links between primary commodity sector, development, and security, with a recent focus on civil society’s role in natural resource revenue management.
