Nanang Indra Kurniawan is a lecturer at Department of Politics and Government, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. He obtained his PhD at the Asia Institute, University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2016. Before becoming lecturer in 2006, he was involved in NGO activism at Institute for Research and Empowerment (IRE), Yogyakarta, as a researcher. His research interests are in the area of natural resource conflicts, environmental politics, and social movement.
