Ståle Angen Rae is teaching and supervising students in human geography, globalization and innovation studies. Central research fields are (i) citizens involvement in natural resource governance and (ii) youth’s participation in urban and societal development. Globalization, transnational relations, and citizenship are all central dimensions. The empirical fundament for work is Norway and Indonesia, but I also have some fieldwork experiences from serval African countries. In addition to political participation, I have researched international higher education and the use of Internet in transnational knowledge networks.
